再び、ビットウォークの高橋です。

リリースされたTcl/Tk8.4b1の、MinGWでコンパイルしたWindows用バイナリパッ
ケージをアップしましたのでお知らせします。

今回は最近公開していた8.4a5CVS版のパッケージとは異なり、HTML Helpを同梱
していますので、ダウンロードサイズが大きくなっています。
現時点ではまだTcl/Tk日本語チームの翻訳成果を反映していません、つまり英文
マニュアルです。


なお、拡張パッケージなどを一緒に利用したい方は以下からダウンロードできる
ActiveTclのパッケージをご利用ください。

今のところActiveTclと張り合うつもりはないのです（もしActiveTclがMinGWで
コンパイルされるようになったら何か考えないと…）。

こちらは、SourceForgeのTcl/Tk8.4b1のリリースの少し前に更新されていますの
で、それほどすぐには、新しいパッケージ（バージョン番号がいろいろあって紛
らわしいのですが、ActiveTcl固有のバージョン番号でおそらくは8.4.0.1 beta
4になると思います）がリリースされることはないとは思います。

参考までにcomp.lang.tcl.announceへポストした内容を添付しました。8.4b1の
リリース直前にCVSでテスト関係がかなり変更されていましたが、まだmake test
で得られた結果について詳しい吟味をしていません。ご了承ください。

I've just uploaded the binary with installer of Tcl/Tk 8.4b1 for Windows
compiled by MinGW, which has been released at SourceForge.net on
05-July-2002.

This is almost vanilla Tcl/Tk, although only a few patches are attached
in order to compile with MinGW & MSYS.

If you want to use package with popular extensions, please use
ActiveTcl, which is more popular binary package.

The result of `make test' of Tcl for this binaries can be seen below.
For Tk, `make test' can not be implemented, probably because of no
thread enabled when compiling for Tcl and Tk.
More detail test must be examined later.
